Getting Started

Get started with Poly to generate customized HD textures with 32-bit PBR maps in seconds using a simple text and/or image prompt. Choose from one of the 3 texture generation workflows: quick generate, step-by-step iteration, or convert an existing image.

With Poly, you can generate any customized HD textures with 32-bit PBR maps in seconds using a simple text or image prompt.

First Steps

The editor sidebar contains several useful texture tools. You should start with one of the following tools:

three ways to get started with Poly's AI texture generation

Quick Generate

Generate an HD (1K, 2K, 4K, or 8K) seamless texture with all physical-based render maps in a single shot through our Quick Generate tool.

Make Patches

Generate multiple patches / variations at a lower resolution (512 by 512) for review first with Make Patches. Try it for multiple times until you have decided on a patch that you like.

You may make it seamless with Make Seamless and upscale it to HD with Upscale Texture afterwards.

The final step is to select a material type and generate various PBR maps with Generate PBR Maps.

📌 With the ‘Make Patches’ workflow, you have significantly more control in the generation process, which tend to lead to higher quality output.

Upload Image

In addition to starting with a text prompt, Poly also allows your to turn an existing picture of a material into a seamless HD textures with 32-bit PBR maps. Navigate directly to Upload Image to get started there instead.

Feel free to exit the editor anytime as all your changes and generations are automatically saved and can be accessed again anytime under Version History when logged in.
